Live Oak Bears in Action
Message From Principal
Dear Live Oak Family,
As the summer break from school begins I would like to take this opportunity to send a last message to our families. I would like to remind you to include reading as one of the fun activities on the summer schedule. This helps greatly to keep our kids working towards a greater command of the language for the upcoming year and to keep their minds active. I also hope each child has a summer full of adventures and outdoor experiences that rejuvenates their bodies and minds.
I would like to extend a thank you to all of the parents and caregivers that last year participated in their child’s educational experience, whether at school events or at home. The school and families are partners with the common goal of developing the whole child to his or her maximum potential. I hope that next year we continue to work together to make our school the best it can be in order to provide our children the best possible educational environment.
It is both a pleasure and privilege for me to be a part of Live Oak School and a part of your child’s life. Have a wonderful summer and we will see you August 26th on our first day of the 2015/16 school year. If you have any questions about next year you can contact the main office at 475-6333 ext. 200, or the Live Oak School Elementary School office beginning August 18th at 475-2000. Class lists for the upcoming year will be posted by August 24th at the school site.
School Vision and Mission
Together, students, staff and parents create a positive, challenging, supportive learning community. We teach and model respect for self, others and our environment. A strong foundation in the academics and participation in the arts are both highly valued. Students have the ability to problem solve and work independently and cooperatively within a social or academic group. Learning is viewed as a lifelong journey that is joyful and prepares students to become responsible and productive citizens of our world.
